Objective: This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of a work–family balance–based educational program on family functioning, marital adjustment, and sexual function among rotational families in Ahvaz.
Methods and Materials: This quasi-experimental study employed a pretest–posttest design with a control group and included 30 couples from rotational families of an oil and drilling company in Ahvaz. Participants were randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. The intervention group participated in eight structured training sessions based on the work–family balance model. Data were collected using standardized questionnaires and analyzed using analysis of covariance in SPSS.
Findings: The results demonstrated significant improvements in family functioning and marital adjustment in the intervention group, while no statistically significant effects were observed on female or male sexual function.
Conclusion: The training program effectively enhanced family functioning and marital adjustment; however, its impact on sexual functioning was not significant, indicating the necessity of incorporating specialized interventions to address sexual dimensions of marital life.
